This beautiful Christmas market takes place right in front of the City Hall and is a truly memorable experience for those of you who love all things festive and Christmas related! With a dreamy background and delicious delicacies to sample, this market is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit! On the ground floor of the City Hall itself, there is a whole area dedicated to children where they can learn how to make Christmas cookies and candles! At this Christmas Market you can explore the baroque lifestyle and browse traditional handicrafts. The market has a stunning background of the Belvedere Palace itself, one of Vienna's most beautiful and significant sights! Our tip is to visit on a weekday if you can for a calmer quieter experience of the Christmas Village!

Christmas Village Altes AKH - Unicampus

If you're looking for a more relaxed Christmas Market, then this might be the one for you! Set in the courtyard of a former general hospital, there is plenty of space for you to take your time in browsing the markets. It's also now part of the campus of the University of Vienna, and has a nice atmosphere. You won't be able to miss the extraordinary Christmas tree right in the heart of the market, which is made entirely of sledges! Of course, there's all the stalls offering the delicious local delicacies too!

Winter Market in the Prater at Riesenradplatz

If you want a Christmas Market with the best views, then this is probably the one for you! The huge illuminated ferris wheel provides a romantic backdrop for the festivities to begin! It's also centered around the amusement park so you'll never be short on entertainment! There's also free live music performances in the evenings, what more could you need?

The market here is in downtown Vienna, and is known to be a classic in the city! Centered around St. Stephen's Cathedral, the most beautiful background for the Christmas market.
