As the most densely-populated city in the world, Tokyo is positively-brimming with energy and all manner of incredible sights that are sure to stick with you long after. Head to the bustling district of Shibuya and walk across the largest crossing in the world – Shibuya Crossing. Here you’ll find no end of top fashion brands and pop culture giants! For nightlife, Shinjuku is king. Catch a lively show, grab the very best ramen, and explore colourful clubs and bars well into the night. As amazing as modern Tokyo is, so much of the city’s charm is rooted in its deep history. Admire the grandiose Imperial Palace along with its moats and gardens, witness the peerless craftsmanship of the exquisite Sensō-ji Temple, or get a more concentrated look into the past with a trip to the Tokyo National Museum. With a city of such scale, the best way to see it all might be from the Tokyo Skytree – a 634 metre tall observation tower that offers an immense panorama. All this is just scratching the surface of the wonders that await…

    Osaka

After a couple of days soaking in the sight of Tokyo, you’ll head to Osaka where you’ll find plenty of awe-inspiring attractions to explore. Discover the Dotombori District’s famous neon signs, shop until you drop on the Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street or soak in the serenity of the Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine. Spend some time at the Universal Studios Japan, winner of a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best Award! From the Wizarding World to Minions, you’ll find all your favourite characters here amongst thrilling rides, exciting attractions and more. Head to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan and see the marvellous marine life, step back in time at Osaka Castle and enjoy the flora and Fauna of the Castle Park. Fancy a bird’s eye view? See the city from a new perspective with the Kuchu Teien Observatory or from the Tempozan or Hep Five Ferris Wheels!

    Kyoto

Your third and final stop will be in the captivating city of Kyoto – renowned for its fascinating culture, dining and beautiful buildings. Stroll the streets of the Gion neighbourhood, with plenty of shops, restaurants and more to see, step back in time at the Samurai & Ninja Museum or discover the one of the many Temples. Take in the view from Kitomizu-dera Temple, take a hike through the Torii Gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine or wander the Philosopher’s Path (and at the end of it, you’ll find Nanzen-ji Temple!) If you’re lucky enough to visit in spring, look out for famous cherry blossom trees or, in autumn with the leaves in shades of oranges, yellows and reds. Feeling peckish> Head to Nikishi Market with a range of traditional treats available, we’re sure you’ll find something to tempt all tastebuds! Soak in the splendour of Kinkaku-ji – a gold-foil temple on the banks of the Mirror Lake and by the White Snake Pagoda. Manga or Anime fan? Head to the marvellous International Manga Museum – showcasing the art and storytelling style. Whatever you decide to get up to on your city break – we’re sure you’ll have a great time!
