A Bad Vintage - 12 players
The Grand Cru estate, situated on the fertile slopes of the Loire Valley in France, is a small family-run vineyard with considerable rustic charm and appeal. The owners of the estate, Max and Demi Liter, regularly host wine tasting evenings that allow their guests to sample the latest bottles and place orders ahead of the big conglomerates. Unfortunately for the guests this evening, the vintage had more body than they were expecting. Max Liter has been discovered dead in a vat of wine…
Murder at Merkister Hall - 10 players
Tucked away in the leafy depths of the English countryside, the residents of Merkister Hall, Brigadier Balderdash and his wife Lotta, have achieved a very comfortable life. Keen to share their good fortune with others, the Balderdashes regularly play host for sumptuous dinner parties at their stately home that involve nothing but the best wines, fine cuisine and traditional after-dinner entertainment. This evening was to be no exception. The guests had all arrived as planned and, with the food ready to be served in the kitchens, the party only lacked one thing - namely the butler Leversham, who has been discovered dead in the billiard room!
'Twas the Death Before Christmas - 8 players
Every year in the small country village of Mid-Trimming, the residents come together to sing carols through the village streets. This year the carol singers have descended on Mid-Trimming Manor, owned by the wealthy miser, Bob Scratchitt. Everyone was surprised that he agreed to play host, but they were even more amazed to discover him dead in his own lounge! So much for being a season of goodwill and glad tidings - this Christmas, it looks as if someone has some very ill will indeed! The question is: who?
