Android Updates
In order to update your android to the latest software, open up the notification when a new update becomes available to your device and tap the update action to begin the update download. If you need to do this manually, open your phone's settings app, click on system and then system update and here you'll see your update status. Proceed to follow any steps on the screen to install the update. Security updates tend to happen automatically. However, to check if security updates are available to download manually, open your phone's settings app, click on security and then Google security check-up. Proceed to follow any steps on the screen to install the update.
Apple Updates
Apple updates should install automatically when a new one rolls out. If, however, you need to install it manually, take the following steps to do so wirelessly:
- First, back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
- Next, plug your device into a power source and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi to enable wireless downloading capabilities.
- Then, go to settings, general and then tap software update. If you see two software update options available, choose the one you want to install.
- Finally, tap install now. If you see download and install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap install now.

In Windows 10 and 11, you decide when and how to get the latest updates to keep your device running smoothly and securely. Updating to the latest software is completely optional. To manage your updating options and see available updates, select check for Windows updates on your device. Or select the start button, and then go to settings > update & security > Windows update.
Mobile Phone
- Plug your phone into a power source.
- Swipe down on the home screen.
- Tap the all settings tile.
- Tap the update and security section.
- Tap phone update.
- Tap check for updates.
- Tap install if applicable and follow the on screen instructions.
Amazon Updates
Amazon devices receive software updates automatically when they are connected to the internet - you should make sure that your device has the latest software updates in order to be able to use new features and avoid registration issues. You can manually check for updates on your device via the settings section on mobile devices.
