St. Patrick's Day 2023

This year St Patrick's Day is on Friday 17th March 2023. This will be a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland but not for England, Scotland and Wales. There will be events planned for other areas on St. Patrick's Day weekend with a lot of places hoping to celebrate with events on Sunday 19th March 2023 in London and other major cities.

Trips to Dublin

If you want to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style or are simply looking for a vibrant weekend away then Dublin is the perfect place to go! The party starts early and carries on for five days and nights including the festival itself which celebrates the rich Irish culture. After that there's loads to explore like Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green and Temple Bar, with plenty more places with traditional Irish music and a great atmosphere at night. And of course, no trip to Dublin would be complete without sampling the best pint of Guinness in the land at the Guinness storehouse tour!

Other Places To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Dublin isn't the only place to go for St. Patrick's, so if you want to go somewhere a little different and avoid the tourists there are other cities that come alive around the St. Patrick's weekend. Whether it's Cork, Galway or somewhere more off the beaten track you can combine the party-going and revelling at night with picturesque views and cliff-faces, rolling fields and more during your stay.

Spending St. Patrick's Day At Home

Of course, not everyone will be able to make their way to Ireland for the weekend but there's still plenty you can do at home! Cities like London will be organising multiple St. Patrick's themed nights over the weekend so you can enjoy a bit of the Irish spirit at your local. You may even want to host a night-in with some Guinness and traditional Irish cuisine!
