Caring For Rattan Garden Furniture

If you've got a wonderful rattan garden furniture set, but are unsure how to clean and care for it, then you've come to the right place! We've got all the tips and tricks you need for ensuring that your rattan garden furniture stays squeaky clean. Firstly, if there is any light dust or dirt, you can actually just use a handheld vacuum to remove this. However, if it needs a more thorough clean, you can create a mixture of washing up liquid and warm water, which you can apply directly to the furniture with a soft cloth. Gently dab away the dirt before you rinse off your garden furniture with a hose. A key thing to know is to not use any bleach products as this could cause the rattan material to crack and break. Additionally, do not use a pressure washer to clean it as it's too strong and could damage your rattan furniture. Also, as we said above, it's probably a good idea to invest in a cover for it. Most of our rattan garden furniture sets come with a cover or the option to add one on.

Can I Leave My Garden Furniture Outside?

You can leave some pieces of garden furniture outside, but it depends on what material your furniture is made from. Our rattan garden furniture range is made from poly rattan material, which is fully waterproof and rust resistant, so whatever weather is thrown at it, it can handle it! If you have wooden garden furniture, then you're also in luck, as long as you treat it regularly, it can be left outside all year round. With plastic furniture, you would be best off bringing it in bad weather and the winter seasons. It won't rot, but because it's very light, if there is a strong wind it can easily be blown about and get damaged.
