Taking you from the bustling streets of Havana to the peace and quiet of the scenic Vinales countryside, this terrific 8-day tour is the perfect way to get up close and personal with Cuba. As part of today’s deal, you’ll be looked after by experienced tour guides who’ll ensure you get to see all that Cuba has to offer. You’ll be provided with local transportation throughout as well as hotel, cabin and homestay accommodation and breakfast on 3 mornings of your stay. With entrance fees all included for excursions, your terrific tour will include:
- Day 1: Having arrived in Havana and settled in at your hotel, you’ll get the opportunity to independently explore the eclectic capital city. You might fancy taking a sight-seeing tour in a classic car, visiting the Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña, an 18th-century fort located on the east side of Havana harbour or simply toasting to your tour at one of the many fantastic local bars.
- Day 2: You’ll leave Havana, passing through the scenic Cuban countryside en route to Vinales, a beautiful town nestled in the striking Sierra de los Organos Mountains. Here, you’ll check into your home-stays and meet our friendly host families, before taking a walk through tobacco fields where the finest tobacco in the world is grown. In the evening you’ll have the option of dining in, listening to some live local Cuban music and trying out some salsa steps.
- Day 3: You’ll travel to Pinar del Rio, where you’ll get the chance to visit a Guayabita factory to see where the local liquor is made. Your afternoon can be spent relaxing by the pool or taking up further optional activities such as horse riding or cave touring.
- Day 4 - 6: Departing Vinales, you’ll stay for a night in Soroa, known locally as ‘The Rainbow of Cuba’. The next day, you’ll travel by bus to Las Terrazas, Cuba’s first sustainable rural community and biosphere reserve, where you’ll take a guided tour of an antique 19th century French coffee plantation, before travelling onwards to Playas del Este where you’ll be able relax to your heart’s content.
- Day 7 - 8: You’ll head back to Havana, where you’ll have another chance to explore the city, before departing home the next day.
