Fifteen Day Itinerary:
Day 1 –Hanoi - Upon arriving in Hanoi, you will be picked up and transferred to your Hanoi hotel (check in from 2pm) and you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2 – Hanoi to Halong Bay - 3* & 4* Cruise Itinerary: You’ll be greeted by a guide before being picked up by shuttle bus and enjoying the peaceful scenery as you travel through to Tuan Chau Marina. After a warm welcome aboard the cruise, join the captain and crew for a drink as you learn about life onboard.
After a delicious lunch you'll travel along Ha Long Bay, and explore the beautiful Surprising Cave before a visit Titop Island. Have a swim and a climb to the Top of the Island with fantastic views of Halong Bay before boarding the boat. As the sun goes down, enjoy a Sunset Party on the sundeck, dinner and kick back and relax for the rest of the evening.
Day 2 – Hanoi to Halong Bay - 5* Cruise Itinerary: You’ll be picked up from your Hanoi hotel and via limo you’ll be transferred to Halong Bay. Check into the waiting room at Tuan Chau harbour and board the cruise ship. Sip a welcome drink with crew and captain as you get a brief introduction on cruise and safety guidelines.
Tuck into a Vietnamese seafood and vegetarian lunch, as you cruise along the magnificent Halong –Lan Ha Bay and admire the fascinating rock formations. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure – why not enjoy a spa treatment, relax on the sundeck or take a leisurely swim? Or, head out and explore the Ba Trai Dao area and the natural lagoon of Lan Ha Bay – ideal for kayaking!
As the sun begins to set, join the pre-dinner sunset party as you enjoy bay views at sunset. Enjoy dinner and evening entertainment before heading to bed.
Day 3 - Ha Long Bay to Hanoi - 3* & 4* Cruise Itinerary: Enjoy Tai Chi or a photo hunt before breakfast on board as you begin cruising to the Natural Preservation Zone. Explore via kayak or visit a floating house and learn about the fisherman who live there. Check out of your cabin (bags can be left in the luggage store) before join the Cooking Class where you can learn to make traditional Vietnamese spring rolls! Tuck into brunch before disembarking at Tuan Chau Marina, heading back to your Hanoi hotel and spending the evening at your leisure.
Day 3 - Ha Long Bay to Hanoi - 5* Cruise Itinerary: Rise and shine with a delicious breakfast with a view before heading off for a visit to the famous Frog Pond area. After you’ve explored the landscape or headed into the water with swimming or kayaking, you’ll pack up your cabin and check out as you cruise along the bay. After lunch, take a high-speed canoe back to Tuan Chau Port, return to Hanoi via luxury limousine and spend the rest of your day at your leisure!
Day 4 - Hanoi to Ha Giang City - Leave Hanoi and depart for Ha Giang City. Upon arrival at your hostel, head to your dorm room (private rooms can be requested) before exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 5 - Ha Giang City to Quan Ba, Yen Minh and Dong Van - Tuck into breakfast before meeting your tour guide and beginning your road trip along the “Happiness Road”. Climb the Quan Ba - Bac Sum Pass, Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark before reaching the Quan Ba Heaven Gate.
Passing Fairy Hill, you’ll journey to Yen Minh and climb through pine forests and sweeping terraces before lunch. The drive will continue to Tham Ma Pass, a winding pass road located on national highway 4C before reaching Sa Phin – the one hundred years old palace of Vuong Chinh Duc - King of the H'mong.
After a visit to Dong Van Old Town, you’ll enjoy a a local dinner as well as live music, karaoke and free time at your hostel in Ha Giang.
Day 6 - Dong Van to Ma Pi Leng, Mau Due & Du Gia - After breakfast and check out, you’ll take a trip to the Dong Van Market in the Old Town – Meo Vac. Soak in the showstopping mountain passes before climbing the ‘Cliff of Death’ and heading to the Ma Pi Leng Pass. At the top, you’ll see the majestic mountains and terrace fields before heading to Mau Due for lunch. Discover Du Gia Village before heading to your local homestay in the Village.
Day 7 - Du Gia to Duong Thuong, Thuan Hoa & Ha Giang - After breakfast, you’ll say goodbye to Du Gia and journey to Duong Thuong valley along to Thuan Hoa, with breathtaking scenery. Lunch will be served after visiting the local village before returning to your Hanoi hotel.
Day 8 - Hanoi to Da Nang - Enjoy the day at your leisure as you explore Hanoi Old Quarter before transferring to Hanoi Train Station, where you’ll take the sleeping train to Da Nang. We recommend eating dinner before boarding the train and grabbing some snacks for your 16 hour journey! You’ll sightsee in style as you admire the landscape from the train window.
Day 9 – Da Nang – You’ll arrive in Da Nang at around 11.30am before checking into your hotel and spending the day at your leisure! Explore stunning beaches, witness the impressive Dragon Bridge, and discover the ancient art and artifacts at Museum of Cham Sculpture!
Day 10 – Marble Mountains - Head to the Marble Mountains, where you’ll see many caves, the Buddhist pagodas and visit to the traditional marble carving village (perfect for souvenir shopping!) Leave the Marble Mountains and visit the Monkey Mountain, ideal for photos! Tuck into lunch at the home of a local family before a transferring to your stay in Da Nang.
Day 11 - Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City - You’ll be driven to the airport and taken to your hotel. Check in after 2pm and enjoy free time in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12 - Cu Chi Tunnels - Head to Cu Chi, legendary for its original tunnels system of over 220km, a network used during the Vietnam War - once a fierce battleground and now a peaceful rural area with remnants of its haunting history. After your tour, head back to Ho Chi Minh City before enjoying lunch in a local restaurant and heading to your hotel.
Day 13 – Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta, My Tho & Can Tho - From your hotel, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields towards My Tho. Visit the Trang pagoda and take a leisurely boat ride along the river as well as view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank.
Head to Tortoise islet and have lunch in the orchard garden before a boat ride to An Khanh. Visit a rural family business and taste their delicious coconut candy before going your Can Tho hotel and enjoying free time. (A family home-stay with dinner can be arranged on request.)
Day 14 – Can Tho to Phong Dien, Cai Rang Floating Market & Ho Chi Minh - Enjoy a boat trip along the Lower Mekong river ( Bassac River), then visit Cai Răng floating market. See how Vietnamese vermicelli soup is made and explore the village. Learn how to cross a "Monkey bridge" (built by only one stem of bamboo) Visit the orchard garden before stopping for lunch and heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 15 – Ho Chi Minh to home – After breakfast, enjoy any last minute exploring before 12pm check out. You’ll be transferred to the airport and head to your onwards destination.
