From vast volcanic craters to cascading waterfalls framed by vibrant flora and fauna, the adventurous island destination of Hawaii is like no place on earth…
We’re offering you a 6-night Hawaii escape including flights, accommodation and island tours for just £1259pp, saving you 48% off Merry Travel’s price of £2438pp.
If the dreary weather has left you craving sunshine, say aloha to today’s island getaway… Formed of over 100 islands, not only is Hawaii a postcard paradise, but it's also a diverse melting pot of ethnicity. Boasting a year-round tropical climate and kaleidoscopic scenery of sunsets and rainbows, it’s no wonder the locals are always smiling! Hawaii offers a welcome as warm as its waters, as well as bountiful activities to keep you entertained, whether you’re after a beach break or action-packed adventure.
Your trip to the unspoilt chain of isles will whisk you from Heathrow to Honolulu, the state capital of Hawaii on the south-eastern shores of the island of Oahu. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your tour manager, who will escort you to the luxurious Ohana Waikiki East Hotel where you’ll spend your stay. Not only does the hotel sit a mere block from the world-famous Waikiki Beach and just steps from stylish Kalakaua Avenue, it features an outdoor pool, spacious sundeck and whirlpool spa, as well as restaurants, a fitness centre and piano bar. Your air-conditioned double room has tropical-style décor, Wi-Fi and a balcony with spectacular views of the city.
After a night spent settling into Honolulu, you can begin exploring its flourishing culture and fascinating history. Your tour manager will pick you up in the morning to visit the Pearl Harbour memorial, where the remains of USS Arizona battleship are held. A Navy vessel will then take you along the now-tranquil waters of the harbour to downtown Honolulu, where you’ll see Chinatown, Iolani Palace, State Capitol (residency of the Hawaiian Governor), Washington Place and the statue of King Kamehameha, one of Oahu’s most photographed landmarks that still stands majestically in front of the Hawaii State Supreme Court.
The following day, you’ll depart the sparkling city to soak up its serene surroundings - from soaring waves breaking over stretches of white sand to secluded rocky bays. Your tour will take you along the eastern coastline to visit the Diamond Head Crater, a saucer-shaped natural phenomenon formed by an eruption around 300,000 years ago. From the gaping summit, you’ll have plenty of time to catch your breath as you enjoy sweeping panoramic views of Waikiki and Honolulu. You’ll also visit scenic spots Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole and Pail Lookout, each with unrivalled vistas over the Ko’olau mountain range or the Pacific Ocean. Back in Honolulu, you’ll have plenty more time to absorb Oahu island, whether you choose to continue the whirlwind tour or simply kick back in a sun lounger.
