Departing from London Stansted, Gatwick, Luton Manchester or Edinburgh, you'll begin your Italian sojourn with a two-night stay in the capital city, Rome. Here, your base is either the comfortable Excel Monte Mario or the charming Hotel Saint Paul. Each hotel offers a welcoming, scenic haven sheltered just outside of the vibrant city centre, with plenty of transport links into central Rome. You'll then transfer via Rail Italia to Venice where you'll be staying at one of two comfortable hotels. Stay at the lavish Ambasciatori Hotel or the Smart Hotel for a further two nights. In whichever hotel you stay in, you'll enjoy comfortably furnished en-suite rooms with a TV and Wi-Fi. Plus, you can opt to travel the other way around, visiting Venice first and then travelling to Rome, it's up to you...

Make sure you make time to enjoy a romantic gondola ride which allows you to peacefully drift through the watery channels. You can also hit the cultural high notes by taking in the mosaics of the Basilica San Marco, but don't forget to pause at an 18th century coffee house for an intense hot chocolate, of course.
