With 8-days in stunning Borneo, On the Go Tours have created a packed itinerary to show off the very best of the country: Day 1: After arriving in to Kuching, you’ll be met by a member of the team and taken to The Lime Tree Hotel. Day 2: After a relaxing sleep, you’ll head out into Kuching on a guided tour of the stunning city. You’ll see buildings from the days of the White Rajahs, ancient Chinese temples and colourful markets selling local produce, in addition to visiting the Sarawak Museum. Enjoy the afternoon at your own leisure. Day 3: Day 3 kicks off with a boat ride along the South China Sea to Bako National Park. The park is one of the country’s best places to spot wildlife in their natural habitat, so here’s hoping you catch a glimpse of a proboscis monkey, silver leaf monkey, long-tailed macaque or monitor lizard. Day 4: Spend a day at the Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where you’ll see the amazing work being done to rehabilitate orangutans in the jungle. You’ll stop off at a Serian farmers' market in the afternoon, plus take a longboat ride up the Lemanak River and tour the longhouses to see local Iban people at work. You’ll spend the evening enjoying a dinner, traditional dance and locally brewed rice wine. Day 5: This day is all about trekking through the jungle on a guided nature walk, before a bamboo picnic lunch on the beach. Day 6: A relaxed day of driving back to Kuching, stopping for lunch en route. Day 7: Drive to Bengoh village for a fun-filled river kayaking session and a village walk through Bidayuh village. Day 8: After breakfast and hotel check-out, you'll be transferred to Kuching Airport for your onward flight.
