With today’s deal, organising a trip to India couldn’t be easier. Your Golden Triangle tour provides you with return flights, all accommodation and on-land transportation (in the form of your own private car and driver!), with a host of planned excursions to keep you entertained throughout. The action-packed itinerary is as follows:
  • Day 1: Jet off to Delhi on a night flight.
  • Day 2: Upon arrival in Delhi, you’ll be taken to the 5* Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini. You’ll spend a relaxing morning before heading out on a sightseeing tour of New Delhi, visiting the India Gate Memorial, the official residence of the President of India and Qutab Minar, a 73m tall tower built in 1193 after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu kingdom.
  • Days 3-5: Your tour of Delhi continues in the Old City, once capital of the Mughal Empire and home to India’s largest mosque. After admiring the ornate mosque, you’ll reach Raj Ghat, a marble platform built to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi, before visiting the walled garden tomb of Emperor Humayun - one of India’s finest examples of Mughal architecture. Your driver will then whisk you to the riverside city of Agra, where you’ll spend four nights at The Gateway Hotel, set among six acres of landscaped gardens with views of the majestic Taj Mahal. No trip to India would be complete without seeing the gleaming white marble domes of the famous mausoleum. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal was built by 20,000 labourers in memory of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s wife, incorporating many Eastern architectural styles. The next stop is sister monument Agra fort, a walled city of grand palaces, mosques and hidden courtyards. Your journey then continues west of Agra to the ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri, where you’ll explore its ancient palaces and pavilions.
  • Days 6-7: You’ll then head to Jaipur, staying two nights at the Lemon Tree Premier in the heart of the city, where you’ll enjoy a rooftop swimming pool with panoramic views of the Aravalli Hills. Your tour of the ‘pink city’ of Jaipur - known as the gateway to the desert state of Rajasthan - begins in the royal Amer fort. Majestically poised high on the Aravalli hills, the red sandstone and marble fort overlooks the Maota Lake, where elephants can often be spotted bathing. Back in Jaipur, you’ll visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar observatory and the stunning Hawa Mahal, known as Palace of the Winds for the 953 windows built into its latticed façade.
  • Day 8: Return home via Delhi.
  • Safari option: If you choose to upgrade your Golden Triangle tour, you’ll head from Fatehpur Sikri straight to Ranthambore National Park (before visiting Jaipur). You’ll stay at the all-inclusive Ranthambore Kothi Resort within the national park, known for its glittering lakes, open meadows and enthralling tiger reserve, with the possibility of sighting the majestic predators. You’ll be treated to three safari drives in an effort to spot tigers, leopards, monkeys and sloths before leaving the wildlife haven of Ranthambore for Jaipur.
  • Goa option: If you choose to upgrade your tour again, you’ll fly down to the West coast of India and spend an extra four nights in Goa, where you’ll enjoy luxurious hotel accommodation with breakfast each morning. Goa’s unspoilt beaches, coconut groves and jungle foliage are sure to add a tropical flourish to your unforgettable trip!
