The ideal trip for any adventurer, you and a friend will spend 14 days in fascinating Nepal, trekking and touring the breathtaking jungle. You'll stay in a series of comfortable guest houses and hotels en route, absorbing the local culture and meeting residents and Buddhist monks during this truly eye-opening experience. Breakfast each morning, selected additional lunches and dinners, airport transfers, trekking and rafting equipment and the services of an enthusiastic and informative tour guide are all included in the package, as are your exciting excursions which include yoga classes, water wafting in the Trishuli river and a Chitwan jungle safari by elephant back.
When you arrive in the breathtaking country, you'll meet your friendly tour guide and transfer to your first hotel for an orientation meeting outlining the upcoming 2 weeks. The next day, you'll awake and join in on a spiritual yoga class to boost your zen and set you up for the day - then tour the historical city of Kathmandu, before a night's sleep and an early start to the Trishuli river for your adrenaline-packed rafting experience. Over the coming days you'll visit an adorable elephant breeding centre, attempt to catch glimpses of tigers and other fascinating wildlife during two safari tours (one by elephant back), canoe, and enjoy two evenings watching a variety of acts at the Tharu cultural show. You'll also put your endurance to the test with five invigorating treks of the nearby mountains - just wow!
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to hotel for orientation program at 5pm.
Day 2: Morning yoga class and guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Drive to Charaudi for white water rafting.
Day 4: Drive to Chitwan for welcome drinks at hotel, before elephant-back safari tour, evening walk and bird watching, dinner and Tharu cultural show.
Day 5: Canoeing, jungle walk, visit to elephant breeding centre, safari by elephant or vehicle and Tharu cultural show.
Day 6: Drive to Pokhara for free day exploring.
Day 7: Travel to Nayapul for 1500m Tikhedhunga trek.
Day 8: Trek Gohrepani for 2800m through jungle path.
Day 9: Morning hike to Poonhill for sunrise and mountain view.
Day 10: Trek 2200m to Ghandruk; an old Gurung village.
Day 11: Trek to Nayapul before drive back to Pokhara.
Day 12: Sightseeing in Pokhara.
Day 13: Drive back to Kathmundu for evening farewell dinner.
Day 14: Morning yoga class and departure to airport.
