junglist massive but it was actually because he didn't know where he was going. No danger of that with today's guided adventure. This incredible trip combines cultural, ecological and social experiences into one unforgettable adventure. The itinerary is as follows:
Day 1: Arrive at Kuala Lumpur airport and transfer to Kg.Tonggang
You will be greeted at Kuala Lumpur International airport by your guides before taking the bus to Ipoh where you’ll jump in some 4x4s for the trip to Kg.Tonggang. When you arrive, you’ll meet the chief of the Orang Asli (‘original people’) and you’ll be briefed about the village and the conservation project you’re supporting. Once fully clued up there’s a chance to go Bubu fishing and relax by the river before learning how to cook traditional food and dining with an Orang Asli family.
Day 2: Jungle Training and School Club
The morning will be spent planning a fun English lesson for school children aged 9-12 which you’ll deliver after lunch. You’ll also get the chance to be a student as you’re taught basic wilderness skills to help you survive the jungle.
Day 3: Jungle Taster Part I
Head into the jungle for the first time and camp overnight with the jungle’s wild residents.
Day 4: Jungle Taster Part II
Further exploration of the jungle before heading back to the village.
Day 5: Rest day
Relax in the village with the option to get involved in school club.
Day 6: Trek to Kem Seroja
Transfer to Ulu Kinta Dam to begin the waterfall-filled trek to Kem Seroja. On the way, you’ll help collect camera traps which are used to collect data about wildlife living in the forest. The evening concludes with a campfire and a feast!
Day 7: Trek to Kem Kijang
A light trek across rivers and beautiful landscape to Kem Kijang or Mousedeer Camp where you can spot mousedeer as well as a plunge into the river.
Day 8: Trek to the summit of Mount Korbu
Full of bonsai trees, stunning views and crisp mountain air, this trek will see you ascend to the 7129ft peak.
Day 9: Trek to Mount Gayong and back to Kem Kijang
Chance to see the magical sunrise and then an hour trek to the second peak of Mount Gayong before heading back to Kem Kijang.
Day 10: Back to Bukit Kinding Eco Resort
Relax in the morning before strolling back to the Ulu Kinta Dam, picnic at Batu Besar waterfalls. Then you’ll be picked up and taken back to Bukit Kinding Eco Resort to rest and relax.
Day 11: Leisure Time
Optional kayaking, stand-up paddling, paintballing and ATV. Or enjoy spa facilities including a Jacuzzi, steam bath or sauna. Dine together in Ipoh town and enjoy your final sunset.
Day 12: Return home
Transfer back to Kuala Lumpur International airport for your flights home.
