With its picturesque countryside, quaint villages and tranquil beaches, it's no surprise that Somerset is our favourite place to take a country break...
So today, we’re offering you a self-catered holiday cottage break for 2 for £109 for 2 nights, £165 for 3 nights or £219 for 4 nights, saving you up to 54% off Potting Shed Holiday Cottages' prices.
Surrounded by glorious countryside views worthy of any postcard, the Potting Shed Holiday Cottages are a veritable Somerset gem. Based in the peaceful village of Coxley, close to Glastonbury, Wells and Cheddar, you'll discover three unique cottages, perfect for the discerning traveller seeking some home-from-home comfort. Each building has been lovingly transformed into a cosy hideaway with original stonework, quirky beams and a spacious outdoor area - and there's an on-site garden spa, where you can enjoy 'unlimited' use of the hot tub!
Having started life as a farm worker’s shed and animal shelter, the Potting Shed (sleeps 2) has been restored with traditional English furnishings to maintain its charm. Across the lush green lawns lies the 17th century Spider's End (sleeps up to 6) that harks back to its former life with original wattle and daub walls, wooden beams and stone features, while the rest of the residence has been restored and renovated by local craftsmen. The company's most unusual settlement comes in the form of Middle Earth Cottage (sleeps 2), which consists of two octagonal Scandinavian barbecue houses joined together.
The Potting Shed Holiday Cottages are ideal for exploring the nearby area with attractions including Wookey Hole, Britain's most spectacular underground cavern, or Cheddar Caves, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you'll find rare species as well as million-year-old ice age river beds. Further afield lies Bristol Zoo and the SeaQuarium, home to Weston-super-Mare's exotic sea-life. A stone's throw away lies Glastonbury Abbey, rooted in the mystical land and sacred site of Avalon, and Bishop's Palace, a majestic palace surrounded by 14-acres of garden, grounds and a moat. How will you fit it all in?
