Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry, Mel and Sue are back on our screens with the new series of The Great British Bake Off, the BAFTA award-winning BBC show that makes us salivate on our sofas whilst we dream of baking perfectly proofed bread and show-stopping cakes, tarts and pies with no soggy bottoms in sight. If you've always wanted to have a go yourself, The Sherwood Cookery Workshop is offering you the chance to join one of their fun Bake Off-inspired half-day workshops, which will incorporate two challenges, prize-givings and lots of cake! Pitted against a maximum of 11 other bakers, you'll create a signature bake of your choice over an allotted time period, with a blind taste test from the head baker to determine a winner. Afterwards, you'll be provided with a series of instructions (Mary Berry style!) to produce a technical bake that's as close to perfection as possible - with marks out of ten and an award for the overall winner, you're sure to have a blast! All ingredients and equipment will be provided - just make sure you take a couple of empty containers and an apron with you. Time to rise to the occasion! The half-day workshop runs from 10am-1pm on the following dates:
