Tucked in a beautiful corner of British countryside sits the Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre, boasting a fantastic woodland canopy in which you’ll find over 200 owls, hawks, falcons, buzzards, eagles and even vultures perched amongst the flora and fauna.
On arrival at the centre you’ll choose a bird from their vast selection to spend time getting to know. Next comes the exciting bit: it’s your turn to take the reins (or claws) as you get up close and personal, carrying your feathered friend on your very own gloved fist, giving you the opportunity to appreciate the detail of its feathers and the glint in its hunting eyes! You and your charge will walk around some of the 42 acres of thriving biodiversity including maturing ponds, purpose-built nesting boxes and feeding stations, as you're fed tidbits of falconry knowledge.
