The Horse & Husky centre in Bootle Station, Cumbria, is home to rescued or rehomed huskies, some of which may be looking for a canine carer. With today’s deal, you’ll get to pick one of the cute pups to ‘adopt’ after your experience day, after which you’ll receive a certificate.

Your experience day will begin by meeting the adorable pack of huskies, where you’ll enjoy cuddles like there’s no tomorrow, and will have the opportunity to take plenty of photos. The huskies at Horse and Husky are very affectionate and love a good tummy tickle! Once you’re done bonding with your new furry friends, you’ll embark on a hiking adventure along with your experienced guide, Sonia and some of her sled dogs. You’ll be paired up with a husky and enjoy the spectacular Cumbrian scenery with your furry companion as you cross fells, forests or a beach depending on the weather and tide. There are walks to suit everyone in terms of terrain and length. You will be taught how to use the equipment correctly, and a walking belt and elasticated lead will be provided to give you a tow up the steeper paths, plus a halter and short lead for when you don’t want the husky to pull. There will also be a chance to find out more about pack dynamics and dog psychology on your hike that may help you to understand and train your own pet back home.
