This once-in-a-lifetime ‘Shadow a Zookeeper’ day is a great way to get hands-on and see the day-to-day running of Paradise Wildlife Park, as well as learn about all the animals it’s home to - from rabbits to big cats! Available daily, your experience will begin with refreshments in the Discovery Centre with one of the friendly Animal Park team, who’ll give you a health and safety briefing and explain in more detail the timetable of your day, along with answering any questions you might have.
During your day you’ll experience all aspects of being a zoo keeper - including preparing feeds, cleaning enclosures and walking the animals - and get to meet a range of different animals too, from those who live in paddocks to others inhabiting glass tanks! You’ll hear a wolf talk and watch a big cat feed, before enjoying lunch in Safari Sam’s Restaurant. At the end of your day you’ll be presented with a certificate and a T-shirt as a memento of your day. Of course, there’ll be plenty of photo opportunities - so make sure you bring your camera!
